Does someone in your family have memory issues?

If you have concerns, most likely you’ve done some internet research. Have you seen that Alzheimer’s is referred to as Type 3 Diabetes?

The cells in the brain become insulin resistant and stop taking in glucose to feed themselves, causing them to die off. But the brain can also be fueled by ketones, which the body will produce in the right circumstances. And you can mimic that by consuming coconut and/or MCT (medium-chain triglycerides) oil.

Dr. Mary Newport talks in the video below about what happened when she started feeding her husband coconut oil and how he immediately responded in his severe stage of Alzheimer’s. She took a chance on a different approach and got her husband back, after she had feared the worst.

I will be saying it until I am blue in the face: insulin resistance is at the heart of most all of our modern day diseases, including Alzheimer’s and cancer, and approximately 85% of US adults have it. Look around you – that’s 4 of the 5 people at your dinner table, in the conference room, or in your book club.

Doctors watch for your blood glucose, which insulin controls, but that doesn’t say how much insulin is required to maintain those controls. As it increases, type 2 diabetes will set in, but it is silently happening NOW and it can be stopped.
