Digital Scrapbooking

Having been a Creative Memories Consultant in the late 90s until the early 2000s, I wondered what people were doing once we entered the “Digital Age.” I know myself that I very rarely actually print photos, and I’m more likely to “share” them on social media or my website, so that family and friends can see them there.

To the younger generation, social media IS the photo album of choice. If Facebook or Instagram ended, we would only have our phones or the cloud to hold our stories. Who would see them then?

If YOU can post on social media, YOU can scrapbook!

I can show you how to turn your digital pictures into a gorgeous album, quickly and easily, by printing 12×12 collage posters and inserting them into our Top-Loading Single-Pocket Pages. Having spent the last few years using PicMonkey to create graphics and working with WordPress pages, designing online is right up my alley. They are so many creative options and all your work area fits right on your lap (with a laptop of course).

I was able to digitally create an 80+ page Custom Album for my mother with Alzheimer’s, covering the trip we took to Ireland in less than a week using PicMonkey in addition to the Creative Memories Creator. The album turned out AMAZING! I’ll show you how I did it so quickly in the Digital Training.

She was MUCH happier with it than she looks!

The album above with it’s beautiful custom cover was printed entirely by Creative Memories. THIS IS NO LONGER AN ANYTIME OPTION!

Here’s the update for 2025: Digital Artwork, Custom Albums, Covers and Pages

Custom Albums, Pages and Paper Albums made using the Custom Creator on the Creative Memories website, as well as Digital Artwork, will reopen in May and November for creation and ordering.

  • All of the artwork that resides in the website Creator will remain so you can use it to create Custom Albums, Pages, Covers and/or Paper Albums in May and November.
  • During the periods the website creator is closed, projects in Advisor and customer accounts will remain so they can be ordered/re-ordered when it reopens.
  • Pre-printed 8×8 Paper Albums will be last available with NSD 2025 (May).
  • Custom spines (I LOVE these!) and photo printing will still be available year round.
  • If you want to have the printed pages, you can work on them now using my PicMonkey technique and load them into the Creator later. If you want them NOW, have the 12×12 pages printed with Shutterfly* (or something similar) and drop them into pocket pages.
  • Take advantage of Custom Covers when the time comes! Something this unique is priceless!

Considering the money you can save without the need to purchase tools, papers and embellishments and the ability to have multiple albums printed from one design, I think the digital album is well worth the price.

You can embellish your pages further with additional stickers if you choose or even add memorabilia using Peekaboo Pockets or 8.5×11 Pocket Pages.

You can add text blocks for great looking titles and journaling that fits neat and tidy on your page. You can even import your creations from apps like PicMonkey, Canva, Pages or Word – so truly, it can turn into something spectacular.

These two videos below explain how the CM system worked, but if you haven’t played with it before, you may not have access to it until the open period around National Scrapbook Day and Croptoberfest.
