Aging "Awesomely" After Menopause π§‘π₯©πͺπΌ
To many, the idea of meditation or using a meditation app is foreign, freaky or just plain woowoo. They have visions of an ashram and canβt believe that focusing on your breath could make any βrealβ impact on your life.β£

I beg to differ. Now Iβm no guru, but I do include meditation in all of my programs, because it helps you focus, reduces stress and helps you get a great night’s sleep, which puts you in the right frame of mind for whatever the day may bring.β£

When you are trying to break bad habits and incorporate new ones, the right frame of mind is essential. And for women over 50 especially, reducing stress can keep the belly fat from accumulating and stop insulin resistance which leads to type 2 diabetes, Alzheimerβs, heart disease, cancer and most of our modern day maladies.β£

Recently I tried out a free app, Synctuition, which advertises 3D sound and says that a 25 minutes session has the same effect as 4 hours of deep meditation. I found it to be very effective in the evenings to prepare me for sleep by clearing away negativity, stress and anxiety.β£

Iβm only using the free version at this point (NOT the free trial) which has 3 full sessions that can be replayed and I must say that I love it.β£

What I enjoy about the sessions is that you are listening to these 3D nature sounds all around you and you relax into the session without any effort. Itβs like it is doing the meditation for you, so you donβt have to worry about your mind wandering off thinking about that project or the tasks you forgot to finish. My body just melts away and when I do go to bed, I fall asleep easily and sleep deeply.β£

If you have trouble shutting down at bedtime, I highly recommend giving it a try to see if it helps. Head up, you will need headphones to hear it properly.β£
